The Orchestra

The Heart of England Recorder Orchestra is a group of enthusiastic and experienced recorder players of all ages, from all over the country, meeting in Coventry.
We play all kinds of music – renaissance, baroque, classical and modern, original recorder music and arrangements, on all sizes of recorder – sopranino, descant, treble, tenor, bass, great bass and contrabass.
A recent award from the Lottery Fund means we now have 2 new great basses and a contra bass for the use of our members.
Rehearsal Dates
We have monthly rehearsals, which are usually 2pm to 5:30pm on the second Sunday of every month except August. However, there are exceptions when we have concerts or other events, so do check the rehearsal dates on the "Members" page for a list of dates and venues.
